Terms & Conditions
Effective August 27, 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of wilderinn.com and your reservation and stay at The Wilder Inn, operated by Wilder Inn LLC, 10013 Poplar Street, Ephraim, WI 54211 (mailing: PO Box 219, Ephraim, WI 54211). By booking a stay, using this website, or providing your contact information, you agree to these terms.
Reservations
- The person making the reservation must be at least 21 years of age, is the responsible party for the stay, and must present a valid government-issued photo ID and the credit card used for booking at check-in.
- A reservation is confirmed only when you receive a written confirmation from us or our booking platform.
- Rates vary by season, date, room type, length of stay, and availability, and are quoted at the time of booking. Rates are exclusive of Wisconsin sales tax and applicable room/lodging taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Occupancy limits apply to each room and suite. Guests beyond the stated occupancy may be denied accommodation or charged an additional fee.
- We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing or inventory errors and to cancel a reservation affected by such an error with a full refund of amounts paid.
- Minimum-stay requirements may apply during peak season, holidays, and festival weekends.
Payment, deposits, and incidentals
- A deposit or full prepayment may be required at the time of booking, as disclosed during checkout. The balance is due per the rate rules shown with your reservation.
- We accept major credit and debit cards. We may place an authorization hold on your card at or before arrival for incidentals and damages.
- You authorize us to charge the card on file for the room, taxes, fees, incidental charges, damage, excessive cleaning, lost keys, and any charges described in these terms.
Cancellations, changes, and no-shows
- The cancellation policy applicable to your stay is disclosed at the time of booking and stated in your confirmation. That policy controls.
- Unless your confirmation states otherwise, cancellations made at least 7 days before arrival receive a refund of amounts paid less any non-refundable deposit; later cancellations, early departures, and no-shows are charged the full amount of the reserved stay.
- Non-refundable, promotional, package, and holiday or festival-period rates may be fully non-refundable and non-changeable.
- Reservations made through an online travel agency or other third-party channel are subject to that channel’s cancellation and modification rules and must be changed or cancelled through that channel.
- We do not issue refunds for weather, road conditions, travel disruption, event cancellations, or changes in personal plans. Travel insurance is recommended.
- In rare cases — including maintenance issues, overbooking, or events beyond our control — we may need to relocate you to comparable accommodations or cancel your reservation; in that case our liability is limited to a refund of amounts paid for the affected nights.
Check-in and check-out
- Check-in begins at 4:00 PM. Check-out is by 11:00 AM.
- Early check-in and late check-out may be available by request and may carry a fee. Unauthorized late departures may be charged an additional night.
- Please contact us in advance if you expect to arrive late so we can arrange access.
Guest conduct and property rules
- Smoking-free property. Smoking, vaping, and cannabis use are prohibited in all rooms and indoor spaces. Violations incur a remediation fee and may result in immediate removal without refund.
- No pets. The Wilder Inn is not a pet-friendly property. Only service animals as defined by the ADA are permitted; guests remain responsible for their service animal’s behavior and for any damage caused.
- Quiet enjoyment. Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Parties, events, and gatherings of non-registered guests are not permitted without prior written approval.
- Damage and cleanliness. You are responsible for damage, loss, or excessive soiling caused by you or your guests, including the cost of repair, replacement, or specialized cleaning.
- We may refuse service, or end a stay without refund, for conduct that is unsafe, unlawful, harassing, or disruptive to other guests, staff, or neighbors.
- Personal property is your responsibility. Under Wisconsin law, our liability for guest property is limited to the extent provided by statute. Items left behind may be held for a limited period and shipped at your expense.
